My brother would drag us out to this place everytime we would visit our grandmother, he would take all of us out (7) and we would gorge on ice cream. We ate our lunch w/ some peace, with the other waiters coming by to offer apologies, yet that crazy bitch had to come by now and then and give us this looney stare of hers.... The cabernets were my favorite and for an extra $10 you can taste his rare late harvest cab (tastes like port), which is $175/bottle.

When we arrived, our menus had our family name printed on it with our set meal choices for the evening, ranging from $50 for fish to $65 for steak. Cue! Rowland Heights is not only in a more fun shopping center than Alhambra, but is also bigger, which gives you more machines to choose from. Oh, also they may seem like they are closed when you want them the most b/c they have traditional hours: 11am-5:30 pm Tues-Sat. Amoeba is an amazing place and you should feel lucky enough to share space with it from time to time.. It is a bit cramped and stacked to the ceiling, but the staff will help you if you want to try something on. We have some hang-ups, particularly about liking new luxury items and being uber-wary about vintage things (unless they came from some old Chinese dynasty).. Injecting soul where none exists is difficult at best and there is obviously an interior decorating firm behind the scenes trying way too hard to make a big space cozy. Not a great place for a sit-down meal for two unless you feel like shouting at each other over the table. Gorgeous view, and if you look the other way, you might see a flock of wild turkeys crossing the parking lot.
